Sigh. This dress from Anthropologie is fitting right in with my odd, internal change of seasons. Sorry the photo is small. Click on the link to see a bigger picture if you want.
I'm a little bit Midwestern girl and a little bit Florida girl. That means that my Midwestern girl is ready for fall to start in September and the Florida girl in me is ready for spring to start in January. Weird, I know. But as soon as the Christmas decorations are put away (which they finally are), the balmy breezes outside start calling me and I crave blue and white and gauzy curtains and outside-for-crying-out-loud.
This dress seems like it would just fit into my ideal spring day, you know? A delicious picnic on china plates with strawberries of course, sitting somewhere near the water, sketchbook in hand, talking to the ducks....
Oh my goodness. I love living here this time of the year.
I've been looking for patterns that replicate its lovely lines, thinking that I may give a shot at making one, but, you know what? I think I'm going to save up and buy this one. I never, never, never do that kind of thing for myself. My clothes are all from the $5 clearance rack. I hope it's not gone by the time I have a fist full of dollars....
DAILY BLISS: Emma is kicking everybody's butt on Wii bowling. It's really very funny!
PS
Chris' dad is home and doing well. He did have to have a stent put in and has a blockage in another artery that will have to be monitored. All in all, he and Mom S. will have to make some changes in lifestyle, but it will be all good.

I can SEE you in this dress! It can't wait to see you in it (at a picnic, of course--hollis gardens in the yellow room? or maybe by the koi pond)
We are going to have the coldest weather of the year this week here...so I'll just light the fire put on my sweats and knit - you just keep your Sprintime weather in Florida - HA HA
i heartily agree with christina on this one....that dress is soo you! i say go for it...
I love the dress! It has to be the Florida girl in me, but I went shopping yesterday and even though it's January in the frozen tundra I refused to buy sweaters. I even bought a couple of tank tops...I feel myself rebelling against the cold.
So cute that Emma's a shark at Wii bowling. Chloe kicked everybodys butt at Christmas time. I wonder what would happen if they played each other.
