Emma had a half-day of school today. What are girls like us supposed to do with a bonus afternoon? Head to the lake with our sketchbooks and a lovely picnic (with china plates, of course)! Wanna see some pictures?
And our work:
DAILY BLISS: parent-teacher conference with Emma's teacher - she said Emma was "delightful" and that fully supported us in testing Emma for the alpha/gifted program

Wow! Those are great. So why aren't you doing art?
Beautiful.
I LOVE the second photo.
thanks thanks thanks!
Amy....I don't know. It sounds dumb now that I'm about to type it, but I guess I never figured that I knew how...?
I didn't start painting until I was 32 and didn't figure I knew how to do it either. I just happened to draw something little that my husband went bananas over. But you're drawing puts my little sketches to shame. You might want to give it a go.
Alright, alright Amy. You have a good point. I think, maybe, it takes somebody going bananas over something you've done to make you think, "hey - I can do that!" I've never drawn much (other than renovation plans for my house!), but now you've got me thinking.... :)
I think you should combine your gift of drawing with your eye for photography and draw over your photos.
Hmmmm.....that's an interesting idea Mary. I'm going to have to give that one some thought....sounds fun!
