Superstar

It's been a pretty busy week, I guess. We pretty much ignored Blackout Night this week and Chris and I have been falling into bed somewhere around midnight or worse. I really hate weeks like that.
But Emma was in a musical at her school last night. It was called "Are We There Yet?" and was loosely based on the Exodus story. It was really cute and she was so excited.

She's been singing the songs for weeks now.

All the kids had a special part. They did a little song about the plagues and my kid was a cow.

Of course, when you've had a great night on stage, you need to go out and celebrate. So, hot chocolates for everyone!

We have a crazy weekend coming up, but it's all good stuff. The kids are going to my parents' house overnight tonight so Chris and I can have a date night. Which I'm so excited about. We have a local organic market that's hosting a wine tasting & tapas night and I think we'll do that. Tomorrow, we're going to a historic homes workshop in our neighborhood to learn about design guidelines in the area (for, hopefully, an addition to our house) and a to get a few gardening tips. It should be lots of fun. Also, it's haircut weekend. That's always a boost!

DAILY BLISS: finally getting a shirt made for Emma - I completely made up the pattern and it took me a couple of tries, but it's cute and I'm relieved to have it off my desk!

Hooray for Emma! She's such a cute little cow :) I love getting hot chocolates for the kids at Starbuck's- although I think they prefer my lattes.

The historic homes workshop sounds like so much fun! I hope you get lots of good ideas and your addition becomes a reality.

I really want to see pictures of Emma's shirt. I have some ideas swirling around in my head that I haven't tried yet- don't know if it will work or not.

Every mother is excited to say the words..."my kid was a cow."

I'm sure it was very memorable. And hey...she got a t-shirt too.

I can't wait to hear what you learn about home additions. Have a super fun time on that date.

Hey Jessica - it's at The Corner Store in downtown Plant City. 7:00 PM. I guess they do it every first Friday...which seems like lots of fun to me!
Amy - I promise shirt pictures this weekend:) I totally understand the "ideas swirling around" in the head. I've hardly been able to sleep!
