We are home at last!
Our trip to visit Chris' family was so nice - there will be pictures and stories aplenty - but I am very happy to be back in my little house again. I have a few loose ends to tie up and then I'll be back to blogging too.
Chris' birthday is on Easter this year, so that's tomorrow. His cake just came out of the oven and Easter morning breakfast is all pre-made. The table is set with my great-grandmother's china. Baskets are filled and on the table and I am so
so
so
ready to go to bed. My pillow is calling to me and my dog is snoring at my feet.

So glad you are getting to bed. I know the table is pretty. The china is your grandmother's. The other set is great-grandma's and it will go to Emma. Your beautiful set will go to your grand daughter. The German way - every other generation gets a china set from the Grandmother who ceremoniously gives the set at the wedding so that the new bride can host the family - and the greater family has two sets as the bride's mother still has hers from her grandmother.
I'm so glad you're back. I enjoyed the tweets from the road, but I'm ready for some more blog posts. It's been a delicious week!
